San Carlo, renowned for authentic Italian food, sparkling service and a fun atmosphere across several Greater Manchester restaurants, is launching a brand new Italian garden dining experience today.
Il Giardinio di Aprile (The Garden of April) is opening from midday at San Carlo Fiorentina, Hale Barns.
As guests step into the covered, all-weather, open air dining terrace they will find themselves transported to a magical landscaped space, say owners, reminiscent of romantic garden terrace restaurants on the Amalfi coast.
Here in this stunning Italian garden, complete with verdant foliage, a magnificent magnolia tree in full bloom, ornamental statues and terracotta planters full to bursting with spring flowers, diners, seated at elegant tables with white linens and chic table lamps, can enjoy all the usual San Carlo menu favourites.
Dishes include spectacular seafood such as rock oysters, tagliolini lobster, and spaghetti frutti di mari – a huge sharing pasta dish with clams, mussels, prawns, garlic and tomato and salt baked sea bass.
There will be something for everyone with 28-day aged steaks, Tuscan veal escalopes, colourful salads, pasta (including gluten free options) and pizza made with Neapolitan flour, Sicilian tomatoes and the finest mozzarella.
All the usual cocktails, wines – including plenty of options by the glass – and fizz will be served to your table.
Patio heaters are dotted throughout the covered garden and diners are encouraged to wrap up warm as part of their alfresco experience.
“After such a difficult year, we wanted to create a true escape for people, we want them to feel like they’ve been transported to somewhere very special, somewhere that’s out of reach to us right now,” says , San Carlo Restaurants managing director, Marcello Distefano.

Il Giardinio di Aprile San Carlo Fiorentina launches 12th April and is open from midday until til late seven days a week at San Carlo Fiorentina, Hale Road, Hale Barns, Cheshire, WA15 8XW.
