Popular Liverpool dive bar Salt Dog Slims, established in 2012, will open in Manchester this October, bringing their famous steins, brines and good times to Bow Lane.

Known for its late night parties, emporium of world beers, bespoke cocktails and American style chilli dogs on the diner-inspired food menu, Salt Dog Slims hopes to be the perfect day to night spot for everything from post-work drinks to weekend celebrations.

Those wishing to hit the dance floor can enjoy the bartender’s choice playlist, featuring everything from indie anthems to absolute bangers.

As an industry favourite, the city’s bar-tenders are likely to be propping up the bar post shift, joined by those who don’t want the party to stop taking advantage of the bar’s late-night close (4am Wednesday – Sunday).

You can forget queueing at the bar, as Salt Dog Slims has its own beer vending machine.

And there’s no need to worry about the moments you might forget, as a graffiti wall is on hand for party-goers to leave their mark.

With plenty of booths and bookable spaces, the venue should be a popular choice for group parties.

Salt Dog Slims will cater for 120 people on the ground floor, while the venue’s basement speakeasy will cater for a further 80 people.

“We set our sights on opening a venue in Manchester a while ago and we’re very excited to be opening the doors to Salt Dog Slims very soon,” said Matt Farrell, director of Salt Dog Slims.

“Despite the challenges that COVID has created, we’ve pushed on with the build of the venue and behind the scenes we’ve been working on our interesting cocktails and new food menu for when we open.”

John Ennis, director of Salt Dog Slim’s, added: “Salt Dog Slims is famous for providing steins, brines and good times and we’re really looking forward to bringing that same energy to Manchester and welcoming our guests for the first time.”

Salt Dog Slims will open this October at 17 Bow Lane M2 4FW.
