The full line-up for the first UK edition of global cult phenomenon RuPaul’s Drag Race has just been revealed – and the ten competing UK queens will be making their first official appearance together at Manchester Pride this weekend.

Handpicked for their huge slaying potential by Mama Ru herself, the ten queens for the first season will be the fabulously named Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, Crystal, Cheryl Hole, Divina De Campo, Gothy Kendoll, Sum Ting Wong, Scaredy Kat, The Vivienne and Vinegar Strokes.

Divina, 35, hails originally from Brighouse in West Yorkshire but lives in Manchester.

They will be competing to become Britain’s first-ever Drag Race Superstar – with Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton joining RuPaul on judging duties alongside Andrew Garfield, Maisie Williams, Twiggy and Cheryl as celebrity guest judges.

“Each of the UK queens is so unique, so courageous and so special. I can’t wait for the UK – and the world – to fall in love with them the same way I did,” said RuPaul.

The US series has become a cult global phenomenon, and since the announcement of the first UK adaptation of the show, there has been frenzied speculation about the line-up.

Now the names have been released – and fans can get a first glimpse of the queens on Saturday.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the exclusive ru-veal with these amazing queens for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK,” said Manchester Pride CEO Mark Fletcher.

“I know there’s been a huge amount of excitement in the run-up to the show and being able to host them at this year’s Manchester Pride Festival makes our world-class event even more spectacular. This is something that RuPaul fans won’t want to miss out on.”
