Manchester’s most lavish New Year’s bash? Rosso announces details for eagerly awaited NYE event

It has become known as Manchester’s most lavish New Year’s Eve celebration – and details of Italian restaurant Rosso’s annual year-end extravaganza for this year have now been revealed.

And the Spring Gardens eaterie, known for the most dazzling Manchester Christmas lights in town, has added even more glitz for its New Year’s Eve.

This year, bosses are going for a super-luxe theming for the event on Tuesday December 31st, with an array of stylish black and gold decor for a “luxurious contemporary” feel.

Guests will tuck into an opulent three course menu featuring a choice of five starters and five mains with vegetarian options.

Starters include aragosta arrostita a legna (wood roasted half lobster, cooked over silver birch wood embers, served with calabrian chili and lemon butter) and sorbet di burrata
(burrata water sorbet, smoked sea salt, cracked wild madagascan pepper and single origin olive oil).

The choice of mains includes petto di fagiano arrostito (roast wild pheasant breast, spiced date and rose leg, artichoke crisp, smoked yukongold puree with pheasant and pistachio jus) and sedano rapa confitarrostito a legna (wood roasted confit celeriac, served in white gazpacho with dehydrated whitegrapes, lovage oil and old winchester cheese).

Tickets are priced at £150 and include dinner and entertainment. That will guarantee you your table all night, so no turnaround times like at some restaurants.

And it means an intimate celebration with just 140 guests enjoying a full night of revels at the spectacular venue owned by Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand.

Booking has just gone live for the New Year’s Eve event at Rosso Restaurant, with tables available for couples up to groups of 16.

We won’t ruin the surprise of what happens at the stroke of midnight but suffice to say it’s one heck of a way to see in the New Year – and has to be seen to be believed!

A Rosso spokesman said: “It’s no gimmicks this year. It’s all about opulent luxury and it really is the best New Year’s Eve party – even for those who don’t like celebrating New Year!

“Anyone who has ever been will know just how extravagant it is with lots of surprises – it’s our way of thanking all the people who have dined with us throughout the year.”

And for Rosso bosses it will herald the start of what is set to be an exciting 2020. Because the celeb haunt venue will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in the new year, with more details to be announced soon.  Watch this space.
