OH. MY. GOD. (Janice voice). Former must-see Thursday sitcom Friends will be coming to life at a FriendsFest arriving in Manchester in perfect time for summer.
Even though it’s been 13 years since it left our screens (feel old yet?), it’s still one of the best sitcoms around and this snazzy festival is the ultimate celebration of the show.
If you bag yourself a ticket you can expect some serious 90s vibes, complete with full-scale replica sets of Central Perk, Monica’s apartment, Joey and Chandler’s place, Monica’s Moon-Dance Diner and Ross and Rachel’s Vegas Wedding Chapel.
Keep your iPhone charged and your Instagram hand strong because there’ll be photo opps aplenty, from snapping a selfie on that orange sofa to recreating that title sequence.
If you’re feeling like a winner, put your Friends knowledge to the test with the ultimate Friends quiz. There’ll also be a big screen showing clips from the show and, as if that wasn’t enough, there’s plenty of top-notch street food on offer and Friends-themed beverages from the Chick and Duck bar. Could we BE any more excited?
The festival is hosted by Comedy Central and it’s taking over Heaton Park from August 4 to 13. Tickets sold out in just 13 minutes when the festival was launched in London so you might want to set a reminder to bag yourself these tags or take the day off work. Whatever’s easier.
See you on the orange sofa.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday, February 24 priced £26 including booking fees.
