NEW: The Midland Hotel opens its first luxury spa

A brand new spa is coming to Manchester. The Spa at The Midland is set to become a glamorous spa and wellbeing escape for locals and regional visitors, with ambitions to be the ‘go to’ day spa in the city. It will be a private city hideaway steeped in luxury where relaxation is taken seriously and stress immediately melts away.

The Spa at The Midland introduces a new concept in relaxation along with the latest cutting edge innovations in rapid result beauty and an exclusive 200 limited privileged gym membership, all complemented by the highest level of service.

Appropriately for the city with its finger on the pulse, the treatment offering includes a section focused on the ‘urban’ beauty and grooming market using the latest facial and body technological concepts for those who demand rapid results. This includes the advanced 3D Skintech machine assisted facials, the first of their kind in Manchester; a full range of face and body treatments from luxury spa brand ESPA; and nails by Jessica. The express spa space enables lunchtime guests or those with limited time to benefit from stress relieving 25 minute express massages as well as city polishing in the form of manicures and pedicures, eye care, tanning and wax treatments.

The relaxation space addresses the demand for mindfulness and tranquillity and the fact that, when it comes to relaxing, we all have different needs. Guests are taken on a unique journey of calming spaces where they can rest in the Big Sleep, curl up in the relaxation pods, take time out with friends or simply take a breather in their own business class Airtime seat. Personal music with a playlist is provided to guests to select before their treatment, which will then be played in their treatment room whilst they enjoy their experience.

A poolside thermal area invites guests on a journey to wellbeing with a salt-infused aromatherapy steam room, a swan neck fountain experience within the serene relaxation pool, Caribbean Storm and Arctic rain showers and an alder wood sauna with Himalayan salt block wall. A rasul for two people can also be enjoyed with the option of tailored muds and clays to relax, uplift or rebalance.

The Spa at The Midland features eight treatment rooms including two private Duo Suites available for guests to enjoy a more personalised spa experience with a friend or loved one. Each room has a striking feature wall and treatment beds have heated blankets for the most comfortable and warming experience possible. Lighting is calming and soothing to give the experience of being detached from the city life outside.

Adjacent to the Thermal Suite is a new exclusive private gym open from early to late with membership for a maximum of 200 privileged members. These members will receive complimentary towels on each visit and be able to take advantage of privacy plus individual training with the on-site personal trainers. Their membership card will also operate the latest Pulse gym equipment, with integrated TV screens, programmed to each individual member’s fitness requirements.

A secluded Spa Café complements the spa and fitness experiences by serving a relaxed and healthy menu offering light meals, refreshments and beverages including champagne for those special or indulgent occasions. Free wi-fi in the Spa Café enables guests to keep in touch.
