New restaurant coming to Hale from Don Giovanni team

Keen to support fellow North West businesses, new all-day restaurant and bar People is using lots of local suppliers

A new restaurant and bar, named People, is opening its doors in July in Hale.

The laid-back eatery has been developed by the team behind the award-winning Don Giovanni led by Adam Karim, who has invested half a million pounds into the site.

Opening on Ashley Road in the heart of Hale Village, the 80 cover restaurant will have space for another 50 covers in the bar area and outside seating for up to 30.

What food and drink will People offer?

People will be open from 9am, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner alongside an extensive menu of hand-crafted cocktails, Laurent Perrier Rose champagne by the glass and craft beers.

The menu will feature dishes including sustainable Scottish oysters with pickled shallots, shwarma spiced cauliflower steak and a Josper charcoal grill smoking a selection of 56-day dry aged British beef steaks.

There will also be a Sunday roast dinner menu, a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free offerings, plus a full children’s menu. 

Is People dog friendly?

Keen to support fellow North West businesses, People are using many local suppliers including sourcing all their beef from Althams in Macclesfield, Great North Pie Co. are supplying the pies, their artisan bread comes directly from Altrincham Market and the all-important ice cream is from Grandpa Greene’s in Oldham. 

People will also make sure that dogs don’t miss out, with an exclusive daytime menu just for them.

Adam and his team have a wealth of experience behind some of the top names in Manchester and European hospitality and they’re looking forward to bringing that know-how to Hale. 

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Hale residents and visitors into People and becoming part of this thriving community,” said Adam.

“We will be serving the finest, freshest produce within exquisite yet friendly surroundings, which I’ve no doubt this village will appreciate as much as myself and the team appreciate the chance to bring our experience to this thriving area.”

People is due to open in July on Ashley Road in Hale Village, and will be open seven days a week, 9am – late. Find out more at peoplehale.com.
