Manchester’s gone luminous green this week with the launch of Dig the City, Manchester Picnic lurking, The Botanist opening on Deansgate and now another botanical themed launch in the Norther Quarter.
A lovely new gin bar and restaurant, in former Nicklebys pub in the heart of the NQ, Allotment Bar is set to serve cocktails and fresh chow alike. Bringing a charming dash of the English countryside into the Northern Quarter, Allotment is a fresh and fun plot for dinner and drinks alike.
From their living wall down to a corrugated iron bar, Allotment is a blend of the agricultural and industrial; a trait also to be found in the fare they provide. From a cocktail menu boasting it’s own Thyme and Rosemary themed sections to hearty palate pleasers such as beef wellington and steak sandwiches, rustic is the name of the edible game at Allotment.
Plush palates will be impressed by the classic and local fare that Allotment boast. Serving slap up rustic meals of crispy fish finger butties and beef wellington to steak sandwiches, chow is wholesome and fresh. Echoing their botanical interiors, Allotment Bar boasting a quirky and encouraging menu of cocktails where guests will be treated to mixology mastery that makes use of hot to trot herbs in their Rosemary and Thyme section. Experimental and adapted to suit country faring and city folk alike, Allotments cocktails are buried garden treasure.
Allotment is open every day until midnight, apart from Thursday when it’s open till 1am, and on Fridays and Saturdays when it will stay open until 2am.
