Jasmine Grill

It was the hottest ticket in town on the hottest night of the year as new restaurant Jasmine Grill opened its doors for a glitzy launch bash in Manchester.

Stars of the Real Housewives of Cheshire, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks headed down to the red carpet opening on Thursday night – when temperatures in the city soared to a sweltering 34 degrees.

Fortunately there were ice cold drinks (and air con!) to delight guests heading in to the restyled venue, as well as tasters from the extensive new menu from head chef Alex Alsahli which is centred around Lebanese cuisine.

Coronation Street favourite Katie McGlynn was in glamorous form for the event, wearing a pretty printed mini dress, while Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson headed along with his adorable twins Chase and Phoebe and husband Carl Hyland.

The heat didn’t stop Real Housewives star Ester Dee from showing off her impressive dance moves – alongside the traditional belly dancers performing on the night – to the delight of fellow revellers at the event, who included her show co-star Tanya Bardsley and a reunion with former Real Housewife Ampika Pickston.

The restaurant was formerly Jasmine on Richmond Street in the Gay Village, but has been taken on by new owners to be rebranded Jasmine Grill.

It boasts dining over two levels, as well as a stylish new private dining room that is available to hire.

Co-owner Naveed Arshad said: “We believe we are bringing something unique to Manchester as there aren’t many other Lebanese restaurants. Certainly in this area there are not that many other sit-down restaurants at all. And when the food is this good, people come back.”

Jasmine Grill is now open to the public, opening times are 12noon to 11pm Monday to Thursday; Friday 12noon to 12am; Saturday 12noon to 1am; and Sunday 12noon to 11pm.
