Manchester’s hottest new restaurant, Tops, arrived with a bang on Saturday 16 June, as it threw open its doors to host a lavish launch party.
“Tops’ range of over 300 dishes caters to everyone’s tastes, to create the perfect setting for families, friends and couples…”
The new £1 million restaurant, located on Manchester’s busy Portland Street, held an exclusive event for over 350 of the city’s movers and shakers and their families.
The Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Naeem ul Hasson JP and Mr. Pan Yundong, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Manchester, officially opened the 14,000 square foot restaurant, which was previously the nightclub, Billie Rox.
Guests feasted on a sumptuous worldwide banquet as drinks flowed throughout the afternoon. The extensive menu featured everything from Sushi, Teppanyaki and Indian Tandoori, to Flame grills and pizzas, plus desserts from around the globe.
A live jazz band played whilst the restaurant’s chefs provided entertainment as they cooked-up a host of speciality dishes from the dramatic, open-plan kitchen.
Robin Wang, Tops’ business manager, said: “We’re thrilled to have been able to welcome so many people to our opening celebrations. The event has been a great success. Tops’ range of over 300 dishes caters to everyone’s tastes, to create the perfect setting for families, friends and couples, as well as businesses looking for a venue for corporate functions.”
Tops offers Manchester’s food lovers an eye-catching dining setting, which includes a marble lobby, luxurious live cooking stations and top-of-the-range equipment to prepare food from all over the globe.
Robin continued: “Tops will offer an all-round dining experience, which will boost Manchester’s restaurant scene, by catering for groups of people who each enjoy different foods.”
