When the temperature rises and you need something refreshing to slake that thirst, the only thing better than a pint of chilled cider is two pints of chilled cider.

Not the fizzy, sickly sweet stuff you see advertised on TV. Proper cider.

If you’re a fan of fermented apple juice, you’re in luck. It’s time for cider lovers to have their day in the sun – two days actually – at a three-session celebration of fermented apple-y goodness.

Street food and craft beer event kings GRUB have teamed up with Hogan’s Cider to bring you over 100 ciders from more than 20 producers.

The brilliant line-up includes Kentish Pip, Turners and Cotswold Cider Co. and all kinds of ciders from traditional apple, to pear, elderflower and even a lemonade perry.

They’ll be flowing from keg, hand pull, bottle and good old bag-in-the-box in three bars at Fairfield Social Club on Friday and Saturday.

Fairfield Social Club is the new permanent events space developed by the team behind GRUB, Manchester’s premier street food event. The venue supports grass roots musical artists and provides much needed opportunities and space in the city whilst ensuring top quality food and drink is served.

“We’ve done so many beer festivals now and every time the cider fans always say they feel left out, so we wanted to change that,” said GRUB director Jason Bailey.

“We always have a great bottled cider selection at all our events – even the beer fests – thanks to our pals at Hogan’s Cider, but there’s nothing quite like a draught cider now is there? That’s why we wanted to reach out to Hogan’s and sort out a top notch cider list to give the GRUB faithful a guaranteed good time weekend”.

A good time is guaranteed for all. Especially cider lovers.

Friday July 27th 5-11pm and Saturday July 28th 12-5pm and 6-11pm. Dogs on leads welcome.
