2012 marks the landmark 15th anniversary for the Festival & plans are well underway for this year’s event ‘The Big Fifteen’. A mammoth 18 days, and 3 weekends

In the 43 annual Festivals that have taken place over that time, the Festival has achieved a national status. It’s where the city’s restaurants go all-out to impress you during Manchester Food and Drink Festival – with one-off menus that showcase their food at a once-a-year price.

It is an urban food and drink festival, there is no single location, rather the Festival takes over as much of the City Centre and surrounding districts of Greater Manchester as possible, with a huge programme of events taking place, both indoor and outdoor.

The Festival highlights a number of ‘Festival themes’, issues which affect the food and drink industry in the region.

Like Manchester itself, the Festival is both Original and Modern. Events and participation have ranged from a children’s food workshop at a community library in Salford, to a glittering Gala Dinner at The Lowry Hotel.

Ramsons Hideaway. Choice. Taps. Épernay. MC Café Bar and Grill at Abode…and more

If you always go to the same places, or only eat out for special occasions, this is your opportunity to see what you’re missing.

Manchester has much to be proud of when it comes to food and drink. This is a chance for everyone to enjoy the blinding restaurants on our doorsteps, and build a thriving dining scene that puts us on a level with other great European cities.
