This month Manchester’s businesses will come together on the football pitch to raise funds for We Love MCR Charity, the Lord Mayor’s Charity Trust Fund.

Hosted by Manchester co-working space Work.Life, the one-day five-a-side football tournament will combine two of our favourite things – football and community spirit.

Businesses taking part so far include Mercato, Ladbible and AO.com, but there is still space for others to sign up and support the cause.

Work.Life’s tournament will be open to businesses across the city and will be held at FIVES Soccer Centre (formerly Powerleague), Trafford, on Tuesday 16th July and followed by an afterparty after the champions are crowned.

Each team taking part will be asked to donate a £100 entry fee to the We Love MCR Charity.

The tournament is being held in aid of The Lord Mayor of Manchester’s We Love MCR charity, which works tirelessly to support a range of groups within Great Manchester’s community.

All proceeds raised from the tournament will be donated to the charity in order to support young people and communities across Manchester.

Elliot Gold, co-founder of Work.Life, comments: “This five-a-side tournament brings together two of the things that Manchester is known for – community and football.

“We’ve already had huge interest from businesses wanting to enter teams, so if you want to get involved and have the chance of winning the business equivalent to the Premier League, then enter a team and show us your skills.”

“Work.Life is all about community and work-happiness.

“We pride ourselves on our community-led approach, providing spaces that are welcoming, inviting and friendly, and this event is just a taster of the work-life we provide everyday for our members.”

Businesses interested in entering a team to the Work.Life tournament on Tuesday 16th July should email [email protected].
