This dog-friendly Manchester bar has a happy hour your pooch can enjoy with pawsecco and treats

You can count on one hand the things that Mancunians love more than a solid happy hour offer. Bees rank highly, of course, but we have to put dogs right up there too.

Knowing this, Manchester bar The Anthologist has combined two of our favourite things into one with a new dog-friendly happy hour. Every Sunday from 2pm till 4pm, they’re laying on pawsecco, dog-friendly beer and doggie treats for canine guests.

“With the rise of things like cat cafés, we thought it was about time that the city centre got a regular dog-focused alternative,” said a spokesperson for The Anthologist.

“We understand that it can be a real struggle for owners to find nice places to unwind where their dogs are welcome too, so we’d like to throw our doors open to Manchester’s furry friends and make them feel right at home.”

Every time you order a cocktail, your dog will be treated to a complimentary pawsecco.  Not too shabby.

And dog mums and dads who take their pooches down to the St Peter’s Square restaurant and bar for treats can enjoy 15% off their food bill during Yappy Hour when booking a table.

If you haven’t got a pooch of your own, you’re guaranteed a great spot for some dog watching – a win-win in our books.

See you at the bar.
