Laid back Northern Quarter bar Man With The Fish has everything you need for a great night out.
Upstairs they are focused around beer, with 15 different lines and a huge selection of bottles and cans, available to drink in or takeaway, as well as a great cocktail list – including the legendary flaming zombie.
Downstairs is their basement club, open Friday and Saturday nights until 3am, with salsa nights on Fridays and a rock, metal and alternative night the first Saturday of the month.
And with a menu from award-winning BBQ and street food company, Love from the Streets, you just know that they’re going to take their food offering seriously.
Love from the Streets was founded in Manchester. Starting as an event caterer, they have developed to produce their own street food rubs and sauces.
They also have branched out into kitchen takeovers – which is what brings their unique food style to High Street venue Man With The Fish.
It’s the kind of menu where you just want to order everything.
Think huge juicy burgers dripping with homemade sauces ranging from honey jerk BBQ to toffee apple and jalapeno, trays of crisp fried chicken with a selection of inspired rubs and glazes, or dirty fries loaded with everything from kimchi salt and pepper chicken or tofu to smoked pulled brisket or BBQ chicken shawarma.
Smoked and grilled chicken wings come with your choice of sauce, whether you’re into Korean BBQ, raspberry chipotle, blindin’ buffalo or pineapple hot sauce.
A huge tray of sharing nachos is the biggest portion we’ve ever seen, topped with all the must-haves – melted cheese, BBQ salsa, guac, jalapenos and sour cream – as well as extras including birria smoked brisket, BBQ pulled pork and more.
And whatever you go for, you just have to try the Vimto onions, available as a topping on the nachos as well as selected burgers, fries and wings.
Subtly sweet and fruity with the unmistakable taste of Greater Manchester’s favourite soft drink, we don’t want our onions any other way from now on.
All this makes for a great casual meal out with friends, perfect for sharing.
But the best bit? They serve until late, so you can just relax and enjoy the night rather than having to cut the evening short and dive into a takeaway once your stomach starts rumbling after a few beers.
And when we say late, we mean it. You can get your BBQ fix right up until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
You can even book a booth, to guarantee a top table for you and your mates.
We just found our new favourite NQ hangout.
