Start the new decade in style with Mamucium’s exclusive January dining deal

January can be a miserable month. It’s cold, we’re broke, and the next holiday seems a long way away. But Mamucium is here to help.

Named after the Roman fort that was the birthplace of modern Manchester, the restaurant in Hotel Indigo next to Victoria Station has developed a reputation for modern British food with a Mancunian twist.

Chef Andrew Green’s menu is full of regional influences, from smoked Cheshire beef hash and Manchester Smoke House salmon to his signature Lancashire onion soup.

And now, the restaurant has unveiled an exciting 3-2-1 menu exclusively for the month of January.

Available every night throughout the month of January, the Mamucium 3-2-1 menu sees guests treated to three courses, for two people, plus one glass of wine each for £20 per person.

For starters, choose from a tempting array of small plates including Mamucium vegan tomato soup with quinoa crumble, chives and herb infused oil, or traditional Atlantic prawn and crayfish cocktail with spiked Marie Rose sauce and smoked paprika.

Other starter options include a healthy but delicious grilled artichoke salad with apple and toasted walnut with a piquant Roquefort dressing, or award-winning Cumbrian cured ham with melon, rocket and Parmesan salad and balsamic dressing.

Moving onto mains, options include a veg-packed asparagus, broad bean and wild mushroom risotto or a confit onion risotto, both with truffle oil and Parmesan for an added touch of luxury.

More traditional options include the ever-popular battered fish and chips with mushy peas, tartare sauce and lemon, or a crisp golden breadcrumbed breast of juicy Goosnargh chicken with a  peppery rocket, pomegranate and fine herb salad with zingy lemon.

Finish off on a sweet note, with cox apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, a selection of locally made ice creams, or a rich salted caramel custard tart.

For a more savoury option, you can try a trio of regional cheeses with traditional accompaniments.

Mamucium, based in Hotel Indigo next to Victoria Station, is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7am to 10.30pm Monday to Friday, and 7.30am to 10.30pm Saturday and Sunday. The 3-2-1 menu is available exclusively for the month of January and priced at just £20 per person for three courses and a glass of wine.
