Plush rooms with free-flow drinks, perfectly formed pods packed with smart technology, tables set to embrace networking with ease and great food are just some of the features that were unveiled at the launch of Manchester Malmaison’s new Work + Play meetings and events space.

Work + Play is designed with the needs of today’s businesses and entrepreneurs in mind – a space you can work hard in and somewhere to play hard too.  It is already successful in a number of Malmaison hotels and there are big things expected for Manchester – with the hotel putting itself out there as a contender for title of ultimate business and event destination.

The classic hotel meeting space has been reinvented. They’ve knocked down walls, smashed windows and rewired the ground floor to ensure your laptop keyboards are perfectly illuminated. Edgy artwork adorns the walls, sleek glass walls form a bright and open atmosphere and breakout spaces create an inspiring spot for collaboration and idea creation.

The new space features five meeting rooms with a capacity ranging from 8 to 110 – ideal for conferences and training days – and four pods which comfortably fit up to four people in style and are perfect for interviews and small-scale meetings.

Theatre, boardroom and U-shape are also available with facilities to make meetings as productive as possible – think super-fast Wi-Fi, furnishings to suit your needs, flat-screen TVs, built-in phone and video conferencing and some truly special food and drink.

There’s plenty on offer for after-work team building. Private dining is available in each of the rooms, and additional options from wine tasting and cocktail making to bar take-overs and DJs, making this a truly adaptable space.

The spaces are available to rent by the day or by the hour and provide ultra-comfortable seating, facilities for video conferencing and webinars, UHD TVs, and conference calls. Guests can enjoy complimentary soft drinks and delicious options from Malmaison’s brasserie for lunch.

Paul Roberts, chief executive of Malmaison Hotel du Vin said, “In today’s increasingly connected world more and more people are working on the go. They are looking for somewhere that is both practical and inspiring to spend a few hours. With Work + Play we meet that need.”

Malmaison Manchester proves that work hard, play hard is possible in the same place. And if you need somewhere to rest too, you’ve come to the right place.
