When the lockdown was announced M3 Perform transferred their programs online to keep their members lean during lockdown.

They are now working hard behind the scenes to put measures in place to safely re-open the doors when possible.

“We’re making sure we are ready to make the transition back as smooth and safe as possible” said M3 Perform director Ben Cartwright “but to also ensure that we’re providing an environment where everyone feels safe and comfortable.

“The health and wellbeing of everyone who walks through our doors has always been and will continue to be our number one priority throughout all of this. We also understand that there may be some members that understandably may not want to return to the gym straight away so we will be maintaining an online element to our program to ensure everyone (regardless of their circumstances) will be able to maintain their training.”

With access to some of the best coaches Manchester has to offer, M3 Perform boasts impressive results working with busy professionals in the city. To maintain these results, the gym is currently running their Condition and Perform training programmes online through live zoom sessions.

Here are some of the things you can do to have some fun and get fit:

Lockdown Lean

Head out to the garden or into your kitchen and get ready to move. Classes last 30-45 minutes and use bodyweight so no equipment is required. For those who love the classes so much they want more, there’s an option to sign up to the Lockdown Lean program via the M3 Perform website.

M3 Perform have also ran live sessions on the @NewBailey Instagram page. Keep an eye out for some more content coming on their page very soon!

With more lovely weather in store, it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside for your daily exercise..

Take the Do 10, Give 10 Challenge

M3 Perform members are gearing up to take on the Do 10, Give 10 challenge on Sunday, 24th May.

The challenge is a simple one. All you need to do is: walk or run (or a bit of both) 10km or 10,000 steps in your local park, then donate £10 to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

No equipment is needed so there’s no excuse for not getting involved.

“Thanks to the generosity of those involved at the beginning of the month, we massively surpassed our initial fundraising target with over £500,” says Ben. “Here’s hoping we can do something similar this time.”

Box Breathing

Managing stress is fundamental to ensuring optimal health and performance.

There are many ways to do this, but M3 Perform says simple breathing techniques for even a few minutes are often the most effective.

And they don’t require any equipment or specific ability either – meaning they can be done by anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Check out the box breathing technique video below to help you reduce your stress in a matter of minutes.
