Love Actually

Nothing brings people together like a good Christmas film. Apart from a bucket of KFC. So it’s around this time of year that we’re starting to think about festive classics.

You’ve probably fired up a DVD player/VHS/Netflix/Amazon Prime/BBC iPlayer, grabbed your comfies and let warm waves of cheery nostalgia wash over you as you binge eat mince pies and get into the spirit of things.

A truly great Christmas movie should channel the mood of Christmas. For many people, no film does this better than Love Actually.

Fans of Hugh Grant and Martine McCutcheon can get excited because this best loved classic is coming to one of Manchester’s most historic spots.

The Mayfield will host Love Actually Live! and it’s set to be the ultimate festive night out.

There’ll be live surprises (including a gospel choir), dance performances, a complimentary drink upon arrival, a themed cocktail bar and specially prepared street food.

The event is sponsored by Lambrini and the pop-up cinema will take over Mayfield Depot on Friday December 8 and Saturday December 9.

So head over for a fabulous night of fun, laughter, a big dose of Christmas cheer and maybe a spot of love…actually.

See you there.

Tickets to the event cost £14.99 and are on sale now from loveactuallylive.com.
