One of the oldest pubs in Manchester, The Britons Protection was established in 1811.
Situated on the corner of Great Bridgewater street, the pub holds a unique place in Manchester's landscape.
Deceptively small, this extremely traditional pub has a snug and a lounge to the back of the pub as well as a large beer garden to the rear of the venue.
The Britons Protection also has a function room that holds up to sixty people and caters to a wide variety of events including birthday parties, retirements and work functions, quizzes, whisky tastings, folk nights etc.
We specialise in whisky, showcasing over 300 whiskies at any one time. We also carry 5 different real ales, ranging from Jennings Cumberland and Robinsons Unicorn to a variety of ever changing guest ales.
We serve lunch from 12pm until 2pm, monday to friday, from our brand new menu and a selection of pies and pasties are available all day.
