The attraction, known for its captivating LEGO creations, has paid tribute to the winning team by showcasing a replica FA Cup trophy adorned with blue ribbons and organising a special open-top bus parade within its very own mini-Manchester.

The game between Manchester City and Manchester United was off to an electrifying start, with Captain Ilkay Gundogan netting a goal within a mere 15 seconds.

Despite United’s equaliser from a Bruno Fernandes penalty in the first half, a second goal from Gundogan secured honours for the blue side of Manchester.

Ahead of the highly anticipated match, the LEGO® FA Cup trophy was prominently displayed wearing both red and blue ribbons, symbolising the fierce rivalry between the two clubs.

However, in light of Manchester City’s triumph, Master Model Builder James Windle ensured that the trophy proudly showcased the winning team’s colours.

In addition to the replica trophy, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester crafted a spectacular open-top bus parade exclusively for the City players.

Jenn McDonough, General Manager at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester, expressed her delight in witnessing both finalists hailing from the city.

To honour the occasion, a miniature football pitch was set up at the attraction, paying tribute to both teams.

However, as fate would have it, there could only be one winner, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester spared no effort in celebrating Manchester City’s historic achievement.

The highlight of the celebration was the specially arranged open-top bus parade, which took the City players on a joyful tour past iconic Manchester landmarks meticulously recreated in LEGO form.

As the mini figures of Haaland and Gundogan, among others, embarked on their triumphant journey, the pride and excitement of the fans in attendance were palpable.

Reflecting on the occasion, Jenn McDonough stated, “City still has the Champions League final coming up next weekend, so we’ll all be watching to see whether we need to prepare another open-top bus parade to honour a remarkable season.”

The anticipation for the upcoming final was clearly tangible, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester stands ready to extend its celebration if the team secures further glory.

For those interested in witnessing this celebration firsthand, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester welcomes visitors to explore the attraction and be captivated by the awe-inspiring LEGO creations.
