Lunya know a thing or two about gin.

The award-winning Spanish and Catalonian restaurant has been going strong since opening in Manchester’s beautiful Barton Arcade back in 2015, quickly establishing itself as a go-to place for authentic Spanish cuisine. They do a cracking G&T too.

The downstairs bar adjacent to the fabulous deli is well stocked with a stand-out selection of craft gins, sourced from their supplier in Spain as well as UK gins from closer to home, including Manchester Three Rivers gin, the award-winning gin created just around the corner in the city’s Green Quarter.

Hosted by co-owner Peter Kinsella personally, Lunya’s gin tasting nights have become legendary over the years and include a tasting of five specially-chosen gins from Spain and closer to home too.

Peter gives a brief history of gin as well as enlightening guests on the botanical selections and distillation process of each product, as well as carefully selecting an array of complementary tapitas that both bring out the unique flavour of each gin and stops everyone from getting too tipsy too early.

The evening costs £30 per person, and includes five hefty G&Ts, a filling selection of matched tapitas, and a 10% off voucher redeemable against any gin purchased on the night, so it’s not only great value for money but also a fun way to meet like-minded gin fans and while away a few pleasant hours of an evening.

Taking place on September 12th starting at 6.30pm in the restaurant’s private event space upstairs, spaces are limited and filling up fast, so don’t delay booking your ticket.

If this sounds great but you’re not able to make this one, fear not. Lunya has also got fantastic wine and cheese tasting evenings planned into their calendar for later in the year. Find out more here and if you’re keen, we’d say book in early because they are incredibly popular.
