Did you know? Those nice people at Thaikhun are trying to raise £50,000 for Thai Children’s Trust, a charity which supports orphans, refugee children, street kids, children with disabilities, and vulnerable women in Thailand.
This is what they’ve done so far.
On Mother’s Day, they donated £1 for every visitor to their restaurants and raised £4,463.
On Sunday 17th April, they celebrated Songkran, the Thai New Year, with a fundraiser in Liverpool and raised £600.
On Saturday 23rd April, a group hiked up Snowdon and raised £882.
On 24th April, finance director Christian Hall ran the London Marathon in an impressive 4hours 18minutes and raised an amazing £880.
How can you help?
Eat jasmine rice! Thaikhun are donating 5p to the Thai Children’s Trust for every single portion they sell in their restaurants. For the month of April this was £1031.10.
From the 3rd May to mid-October an exercise bike will spend a little bit of time in each of their restaurants and they are hoping that every single employee -and some customers, too – will ride the bike and make a donation of £1 per mile to the Thai Children’s Trust. Join them at the Spinningfields restaurant on 10th June to help them get started.
Join them on 13th September for a 60 mile Chaophraya Leeds to Chaophraya Manchester restaurant-to-restaurant bike ride.
