Admit it or not, there are some Christmas pop songs that you just can’t help singing along to. Mariah’s All I Want for Christmas, for example. It’s a classic for a reason.

But have you ever heard them performed by a live jazz band?

If not, now is your chance to do it in style at this candlelit concert at Gorton Monastery next week.

Five-piece jazz band Sunday’s Best will be bringing the festive cheer. And mulled wine will be handed out on arrival to help get you in the Christmas spirit.

It’s the perfect way to kickstart the Christmas season.

Running from 6pm to 9.30pm, the evening will begin with food and drink in the West Wing before moving into the Monastery for the performances.

Music will begin at 7.45pm, followed by a short fifteen-minute interval at 8.25pm.

Taking place on Wednesday 11th December, general admission tickets start at £19. VIP tickets are also available, with a table starting at £24.

It’s sure to beat that worn-out Christmas CD we know you have hiding in your house somewhere.
