Manchester fashion brand Missguided is at the centre of a new four-part Channel 4 TV series, starting tonight.

The new show, Inside Missguided: Made In Manchester will invite viewers into the world of one of the biggest online retailers in the UK – and it’s quite a story.

Missguided’s headquarters were in Salford until 2015 when they moved to Trafford Park – where the company claimed to have the ‘coolest office in the world’.

Nitin Passi, the company’s owner, saw his Manchester-based company go from zero turnover to over £200 million a year.

But, after eight years of enormous success, Missguided lost £26 million in 2017/2018.

The new Channel 4 series will follow the brand as they double down their efforts and attempt a glitzy comeback – spending more than ever before to bring the business back to glory.

They’ve opened marquee stores, sealed multi-million-pound collaboration deals with A-List celebrities, and continued to do battle with fashion house rivals.

Alongside owner Nitin, the show will focus on a group of female employees, from designers to campaign managers, so that viewers will get an insight into what it’s really like to work in a fast-paced fashion business.

The cameras will go behind the scenes to see what life is like for the young, female-dominated workforce at the fashion brand’s offices in Manchester.

The first episode, which airs tonight, sees Missguided launch a new campaign with a superstar influencer, while the design team are up against it to create the hottest new style.

“You’ve just got to be ahead of everybody else,” says one staff member in a trailer for the new show.

“That’s, like, savage pressure.”

You can see how the team of boss girls cope with the savage pressure for yourself when the show is broadcast tonight.

Inside Missguided: Made In Manchester will be broadcast on Wednesday 12th August at 10pm on Channel 4.
