Game of Thrones

The Manchester Printworks will be transformed into the seven kingdoms next month when a massive Game of Thrones convention comes to Manchester.

Fans will get the chance to meet actors from the hit HBO series, stroll through a medieval market and get involved in autograph and photograph sessions.

There’ll also be Q&A panels with special guests, and of course, plenty of Game of Thrones-themed cosplay to get involved in.

Guests confirmed so far include the bloodthirsty Rattleshirt (Edward Dogliani), Queen Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan), Brynden “The Blackfish” Tully (Clive Russell), Ser Meryn Trant (Ian Beattie), Vale Lord Frank Jakeman, Martell Prince of Dorne (Toby Osmond), Kayla (Pixie Le Knot), Frances ‘Little Bird’ (Annette Hannah) and Ghita (Hattie Gotobed).

More are still to be announced – expect to see some of the White Walkers and residents of Kings Landing and Westeros, if last year’s event is anything to go by.

Organisers ThronesCon – the team behind popular Harry Potter gathering DiagCon – will be bringing back the celebrated Iron Throne and the beautiful Watermill Wolves will be there too.
