Henry Moores, a 21-year-old from Manchester, has completed an impressive 2,400km trek to Ibiza, raising money for the Tony Hudgell Foundation.
His journey, which took 66 days, began with a 507km walk from the centre of Manchester to Portsmouth, then continued from Caen, France, to Denia, Spain, covering another 1,818km before taking a ferry to Ibiza.
Moores walked approximately the length of a marathon each day.
No small feat, but let’s hope he’s got some feet left for dancing in the party capital.
Henry Moores fundraising walks
This isn’t the first time he’s done something like this.
In October 2023, Henry hit the road for 21 days from Macclesfield all the way to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, raising £20,000 for charity.
But he decided to go again, this time to the White Isle of Ibiza, ‘because he couldn’t afford the flight’, he said.
Taking things to the next level, he’s now made it all the way to Ibiza.
Before he took off, Henry messaged Ocean Beach Ibiza owner Wayne Lineker on Instagram saying that if he replied, he would then lace up his boots and he’d set off – and to his surprise the club owner and brother of Gary Linekar responded.
Lineker posted a video of the pair at his London pad later that week where he pledged his support for ‘crazy’ Henry and promised to meet him in Ibiza to end the walk at his club.
A promise he made good on.
Walking to Ibiza
All of Henry’s walks have been for a great cause.
This time, the 22-year-old from Macclesfield set an initial target of £50,000 for a foundation set up to support vulnerable children by the parents of nine-year-old double amputee, Tony Hudgell.
After smashing this target in no time, he readjusted the goal to £150,000. The fundraiser currently sits on about £127,000 at the time of writing. An incredible effort.
The Tony Hudgell Foundation supports children affected by physical, emotional, or psychological abuse, inspired by Tony Hudgell, a young boy who suffered life-changing injuries due to abuse at just six weeks old.
Despite becoming a double amputee, Tony’s resilience and positivity have inspired many.

Arriving in Ibiza
Upon reaching Ibiza on June 16th, Moores was greeted by Wayne Lineker outside of his bar.
66 days of trekking through all sorts of terrain from mountains in Catalonia, barrages of mosquitos, torrential storms and more. A top, top effort.
Henry revealed he only took one day off, towards the end of his hike for his birthday in Barcelona. I don’t think anyone would begrudge him that.
