Already host to GRUB’s monthly food fair and Shebeen Festival, Shindigger Brewing Co are the latest to bring good times to the Green Quarter.

Teaming up with Reform Radio, the local micro-brewery will be hosting their first Shindigger Sessions event, a block party at the Green Quarter’s Red Bank Co.

Former student home brewers George Grant and Paul Delamere set up Shindigger in 2013 and have exported their beers across Manchester as well as Liverpool, Leeds and even Hong Kong ever since.

The duo have found success as gypsy brewers – using other breweries kits to brew their recipes, saving on start up costs and allowing them to focus on building their brand.

George wants the event to expand on Shindigger’s “enjoy the moment” mantra and “express the ethos of the brewery beyond just beer – through music, cool spaces, collaborations and positive vibes!”

It wouldn’t be a Manchester party without quality street food so the lads have gone and chosen Nasi Lemak’s Malaysian Street Food to add to a tasty menu that already includes Red Bank Co’s stone baked pizzas, cocktails and of course, six draft beers from one of Manchester’s finest breweries.

Nasi Lemak aka Jimmy has previously served up his delicious food at Heaton Hops’ Meet The Brewers events as well as serving Shindigger when occupying a pop-up at Spinningfields’ The Kitchens.

The first Shindigger Sessions event on August 6 will run from midday till late with music courtesy of funk n soul DJs Battlestar Mancunia, Better Days and Inside Out. Future events will take place every couple of months at different locations so give @SD_Sessions a follow and keep up with the latest developments.

Tickets are £4 earlybird/£6 standard.
