Gone In 60 Minutes – Don Giovanni’s Express Lunch

Whoever said lunch is for wimps was wrong. You can’t always find the time to take an hour away from your desk but if you fancy treating yourself or someone else to a proper lunch rather than a meal deal, you can’t beat an Italian restaurant. For a quality lunch in pleasant surroundings without breaking the bank, Don Giovanni’s express lunch menu is well worth trying.

Choose one course for £7 or two courses for £12. The menu consists of the kind of food you would expect to find in a favourite Italian restaurant. Starters include Zuppa del Giorno, Calamari Fritti, Insalata di Cesare and Caprese (fresh buffalo mozzarella). Mains include a choice of pasta, pizza, meat and fish.

Favourites with the ILove MCR team are Ravioli Aragosta (homemade ravioli lobster in a lobster bisque with a touch of chilli), Filetto (4oz fillet tossed with rocket, balsamic and parmesan) and Filetti di Branzino (sea bass fillets served with fresh spinach (£3 supplement for this dish).

Not only is the food good value, but service is quick and efficient so there’s no need to worry about getting back at your desk in plenty of time for that important meeting with the boss (or postprandial snooze if that’s the kind of office you work in).
