A majestic, multi-level restaurant and cocktail bar set inside an old Methodist church with beautiful art deco features, Gaucho Manchester is much-loved for its superb steaks and world class wines.

Now, they have launched a pre-theatre menu exclusively in Manchester – the perfect way to dine in style before catching a theatre show.

Available Monday to Friday from 12–5:45pm, the special set menu is priced at £24.50 for two courses, or three for £27.50.

Starters include beef carpaccio with juniper and mustard cure soaked in smoked in yerba mate tea and miso chimichurri; seabass aguachile with lime and toasted cancha; or a refreshing watermelon panzanella salad with heirloom tomatoes and piquillo pepper.

Mains on this luxury pre-theatre menu generously include their famous Argentine beef, which comes from premium Black Angus cattle bred in Argentina at hand selected farms where they graze on seventeen different types of grass from the Pampas provinces.

You can choose between a 250g churrasco cuadril rump steak, the leanest cut of beef with a pure distinctive flavour, marinated for 48 hours in garlic, parsley and olive oil; or a tender yet succulent 200g chorizo sirloin steak with a strip of juicy crackling.

Both steaks are served with chips or seasonal salad and your choice of buttery béarnaise or herby chimichurri sauce.

Other mains include pan fried salmon aji de maracuyo with courgette, oregano and aromatic passion fruit; and chilli aubergine linguine with sun dried tomato, baked onion and pine nut.

Or who could resist a classic burger? Gaucho’s is made with a 100% Argentine beef patty, served in a brioche bun with a sweet cherry tomato jam, crisp baby gem lettuce, onion and creamy mayonnaise.

And desserts include a rich chocolate brownie, served warm with vegan white chocolate ice cream; or alfajores, an Argentine ice cream sandwich with coconut parfait and hot chocolate sauce.

Gaucho’s pre-theatre menu, exclusive to Manchester, is served Monday to Friday from 12–5:45pm, priced at £24.50 for two courses, or three for £27.50.
