Cold, wet, and full of mounting bills, January can be a tough old month. So how about the ultimate treat, with a very special offer?
Throughout the month, lucky diners can now get the chance to receive 30% off food, from Monday to Wednesday, exclusively at Gaucho Manchester.
A sumptuous restaurant set in an old Methodist church with beautiful art deco features, Gaucho Manchester is well known for its Argentinian steaks and world class wines.
But it offers much more than that – so why not take advantage of the special discount to explore the a la carte menu?
Fish lovers won’t be able to resist the fresh shrimp ceviche to start, with rich garlicky mojo rojo, avocado and arepa bread; or perhaps the seared diver scallops with fruity spiced mango puree, red pepper sauce and a punchy nduja crumb.
If you’re all about meat, there’s an exceptional sirloin steak tartare with an oozy slow cooked duck egg, or a big sharing sausage platter with morcilla and chorizo. Our favourite are the empanadas, with an irresistible range of meat and veggie fillings.
You’ll also be able to try a selection of elegant vegetarian options, that include creamy burrata with a tomato salad infused with luxurious truffle, aged balsamic and toasted sourdough, or earthy beetroot tartare with a mango ‘yolk’, avocado, sourdough crisp and buttermilk dressing.
When it comes to steaks, Gaucho’s are as good as they get.
They come from premium Black Angus cattle, bred in Argentina at hand selected farms where they graze on seventeen different types of grass from the Pampas provinces.
Cuts include Gaucho classics such as the ancho (ribeye), delicately marbled throughout for a superb, full-bodied flavour; the chorizo (sirloin), a tender yet succulent steak with a strip of juicy crackling; the lomo (fillet), lean and tender with a delicate flavour; and the cuadril (rump), the leanest cut of beef with a pure distinctive flavour.
You can really make the most of the 30% discount by opting for the epic Gaucho sampler, which includes all four steaks and is perfect for sharing.
Their sides include chips with thyme salt, truffle mac and cheese, garlicky spinach with a zing of lemon and pan-fried oyster mushrooms, so why not go to town? Don’t forget to add a sauce or two, with options from classic béarnaise to firecracker chimichurri to choose from.
Alternatives to steak include swordfish with purple potato, tender braised lamb shank, or seasonal spaghetti and gnocchi dishes.
But make sure you leave room for pudding, because you won’t want to miss out on Gaucho’s famously creamy salted dulce de leche cheesecake.
There are even dessert cocktails if you prefer your pudding on the boozy side.
And speaking of cocktails, you can also receive one free when you purchase the first from the extensive Gaucho cocktail menu, an offer available every Monday to Thursday between 12pm and 8pm.
With 30% off food plus a complimentary cocktail, January really is starting to look a lot brighter.
