Gary Neville, the former Manchester United footballer and founder of Relentless Developments, has unveiled exciting new images and details about Manchester’s highly anticipated St Michael’s development.

The development, which includes a luxurious five-star W Hotel is set to redefine luxury living and hospitality in the heart of Manchester.

W Hotels: A Bold Addition to Manchester

The centrepiece of the St Michael’s development is the stylish W Hotel, operated by the renowned Marriott International group.

The hotel will boast 162 rooms within its striking 41-storey tower and is scheduled to open its doors in the first three months of 2027, with the exact date to be announced.

Gary Neville, who played a key role in the development, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “There is no better home for W Hotel in the North of England than Manchester.

“This is a bold city which continues to defy expectations and embodies the same values of originality and passion that have made the W Hotel experience world-renowned.”

Distinctive Design and Amenities

The W Hotel promises a ‘bold’ and ‘distinctive’ design, offering guests and residents an unparalleled experience.

Signature spaces, including the W-branded Living Room, WET deck, W Lounge, AWAY Spa, and FIT fitness centre, will provide a blend of luxury and comfort.

The hotel’s ‘always-on programming’ will ensure that there’s always something exciting happening in the vibrant city.

Exclusive W Residences

Adjacent to the W Hotel, the St Michael’s development will feature 217 luxurious apartments, operated as W Residences, a brand known for its unique blend of hotel-inspired living.

These residences will set a new standard for city-centre home ownership, offering residents access to top-notch amenities and services, including a dedicated concierge, world-class interiors, and secure lifts.

A Greener, Net Zero Carbon Commercial Space

No.2 St Michael’s, part of the development, will comprise 75,000 sq ft of office space and is expected to become the first fully Net Zero Carbon commercial development in the city, both in operation and delivery.

This commitment to sustainability aligns with the evolving values of modern urban living.

Strong Collaborations and Future Prospects

The St Michael’s development has attracted other notable companies, including law firms Pinsent Masons and Hill Dickinson, and the Nikkei restaurant brand Chotto Matte, which are set to join the vibrant mixed-use space.

Gary Neville expressed gratitude to Marriott International and developer partner Salboy for believing in the project’s potential and vision, further emphasizing the development’s significance for Manchester.

A First for Manchester

The W Residences Manchester will mark the brand’s first presence outside London and one of only 20 worldwide, making it a truly exceptional addition to Manchester’s real estate landscape.

Simon Ismail, co-founder and managing director of Salboy Group, noted, “W Residences Manchester will offer a residential living experience and level of service unlike anything in the city right now.

“Something will always be happening, whether it’s art pop-ups or music experiences, right here in this super prime Manchester location.”

Neville’s Expanding Portfolio

This venture represents a new horizon for Gary Neville, who, alongside fellow former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs, owns Hotel Football next to Old Trafford and the Stock Exchange Hotel in Norfolk Street.

Despite challenges faced by the industry, Neville remains optimistic about the potential for success.

The release of these new images and details marks another exciting step in the development of St Michael’s, following its official launch to the market a few months ago.

With the W Hotel and W Residences on the horizon, Manchester can anticipate a new era of luxury living and hospitality.
