Forever Manchester, the charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester, is celebrating its 30th birthday this month.
Bringing together over 400 Forever Manchester supporters, the birthday party this Friday includes a three-course meal with live performances from a selection of local community projects and an awards presentation, hosted by Manchester poet Tony Walsh.
There’ll also be a headline act and DJ set from Clint Boon, guaranteed to get you all on the dance floor and partying into the early hours.
But whether you’re able to join them on the night or not, you still have the opportunity to take part in their online auction.
All money raised goes to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester, and there are some great prizes on offer.
Music lovers may want to bid for VIP tickets to see Diana Ross, Blossoms, Harry Styles or Nick Cave at the Manchester Arena.
Or if you’re craving a break, holidays up for grabs include three nights in the Languedoc wine region of the South of France, a romantic trip to Marrakech, a champagne tasting break for two to Reims staying at the modern and elegant Hotel de la Paix, four nights in Sicily, or three nights in an idyllic Lake District cottage.
You could keep the other half well and truly delighted with a set of 12 date night experiences to use across 2020, including afternoon tea for two at The Lowry Hotel, dinner and drinks at Three Little Words, breakfast for two at Albert’s Schloss, darts and a drink at Flight Club, and wine tasting at Veeno.
Food and drink lovers, meanwhile, won’t want to miss the chance to bid for lunch for four at Heston Blumenthal’s Dinner, dinner and a one-night stay courtesy of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay at York & Albany, his tranquil boutique townhouse hotel near London’s Regents Park, or an English vineyard and winery tour for two.
There’s also original artwork from Tony Husband, Justin Eagleton and Clint Boon, a limited edition Hacienda shirt, and a signed Oasis poster, plus much more.
Plus, of course, the money-can’t-buy feeling of knowing all the funds raised will be going to support the local community.
The Forever Manchester online auction will close to the general public on Thursday 6th February at midday, and all bids will be transferred to their live Birthday Party Auction on Friday 7th February.
