A glimpse of sunny weather this week has made us all start dreaming of holidays and alfresco dining.

But while we can’t go away just yet, we can still experience some Spanish sunshine right here in Manchester.

From Madrid and Valencia to Bilbao and Murcia, Evuna specialises in the very best of regional Spanish food and drink.

And if you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s Day experience, they’ve got some inspiring ideas.

First up, their impressive heat-to-eat Spanish feasts.

Prepared and cooked in their kitchens, the delicious dishes are neatly packed and ready for you to collect and simply reheat at home.

They’re incredibly easy to prepare, leaving you to relax and enjoy a laid-back gastronomic experience that’s all about authentic Iberian flavours.

Start with a platter of Spanish nibbles, including Manchego cheese and smoky chorizo or glossy giant Gordal olives and salted almonds with fresh sourdough bread, followed by your choice of three traditional tapas dishes.

Mouth-watering options include Valencian style seafood and fish stew and, of course, a traditional golden Spanish tortilla with spinach and courgette.

Next, there are three traditional paellas on offer, including vegetarian and meat options.

And then why not finish off with a treat from Evuna’s dessert selection? Think rich Spanish chocolate cake or Santiago almond tart.

You can choose a bottle of premium wine to complete the experience, too, from a fresh bright Fulget Albarino from Galicia to a crisp, sparkling Naveran Brut Cava.

The Mother’s Day menu for two is £70, or £50 without wine. Simply click to order and choose your collection branch (Deansgate, the Northern Quarter, Knutsford or Altrincham) on Saturday 13th March.

And speaking of wine, oenophiles will want to check out Evuna’s uniquely hand-selected, imported wines for a real taste of Spain.

Their Mother’s Day trio, specially priced at just £35 for three bottles, includes a soft blush rose from Barcelona, Albarino’s little sister – a Godello that’s ideal with fish – and their award-winning Navaren Cava. Because what’s a celebration without some bubbles?

If you’re looking to learn more about Spanish wines, try Evuna’s mini introductory bundle of organic and vegan classics at just £28 for three superb bottles. It’s a great way to discover a new favourite.

Other trios to try include the reds of Rioja. Evuna have been working with Bodegas Santalba for 18 years and love the fact that Roberto is continuously innovating in his winemaking techniques.

You’ll find a young and fruity Vina Hermosa Sellecion, a well balanced Vina Crianza, and a mature and expensive Vina Reserva – a perfect gift for Rioja fans.

Or, since Spain is responsible for some of the most attractive, original, aromatic and evocative whites around, try a case of mini whites to try matching with ceviche-style dishes, Spanish-style octopus and shellfish, seafood, pork and chicken dishes.

But if you’d rather treat your mum to a meal out in the restaurant, you can do that, too.

Pick up a gift card for £35, and Evuna will add an extra £5 to it for use when they’re back open.

Whichever option you choose, your mum is sure to appreciate some Spanish sunshine in her life.
