Denmark is famously one of the happiest countries in the world – now lifestyle store Søstrene Grene is promising to bring a bit of Danish hygge to Manchester.
The home, gifts and lifestyle brand has taken a huge 3,000 sq ft unit in the Royal Exchange building and will open its flagship store on Friday 11th October, just in time for the festive run-in.
The store will offer plenty of gift inspiration as well as colourful and great value additions to cosy up every home.
If you’ve visited the Altrincham store, you’ll know what to expect – minimalistic, Scandinavian designs in a wide-range of homeware, furniture, kitchen products, crafts, toys, accessories and products for children.
For anyone unfamiliar with Søstrene Grene, its stores are veritable treasure troves of gift and home inspiration, offering great products at affordable prices – everything from Scandi-chic chairs from a bargainous £14.99, stylish glassware from £3 and a whole host of handicraft staples from wools and paints to card-making kits.
There’s a full range of children’s home decorations – everything from teepees and cushions to cute toys and party bag treats and even a whole range of pick ‘n’ mix sweeties.
It’s the perfect place to pick up some stylish Christmas presents, decorations, wrapping paper and cards. And prepare to be dazzled by some stylish Christmas decorations that start from as little as 88p.
But Søstrene Grene isn’t just for Christmas. Whether you just want to buy some wrapping paper or redesign your whole living room, it’s well worth a visit.
Søstrene Grene was created in Denmark in 1973 by husband and wife team Knud Cresten Vaupell Olsen and Inger Grene. They came up with the concept of the Grene sisters, Anna and Clara (søstrene means sisters), whose wonderful world we inhabit when walk around every store.
This will be the fourth Søstrene Grene store in the UK, and the second in Greater Manchester, following the successful launch of the Altrincham store last year.
To celebrate the Manchester launch, the first 144 customers to enter the Royal Exchange store, which opens on Friday 11th October at 9.30am, will receive a voucher for one of its signature chairs.
