It’s the time of year for over indulging and enjoying good food and drink.
But with most restaurants serving up the traditional turkey-based feast, dining out can get boring pretty quickly
There are, however, a number of places serving up alternative Christmas dinners where turkey is off the menu.
At the top of most people’s list would be Zouk, one of Manchester’s most popular Indian restaurants.
And the Indian tea bar and grill on Chester Street isn’t stopping there.
After being inundated with questions from customers about how their food is cooked, they decided to open up their very own cooking school so that curry lovers can come along and learn a thing or two from the experts.
Each course takes half a day and teaches you how to prepare and cook two starters, two main courses, a rice side dish and either a naan or roti bread.
The classes are a perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to learn a new skill in the New Year or even as a present for an avid curry lover who might want to try their hand at creating authentic Indian cuisine.
Vegetarian classes are also available and are already proving extremely popular.
There are two classes coming up in January at their restaurant in Manchester. They start at 10am and finish around 1.30pm.
