Coronation Street stars were on hand to help bring Christmas cheer to local families attending a charity event at Infamous Diner.

Over 270 guests have enjoyed a festive feast at Infamous Diner, with everything from burgers and hotdogs, to waffles and milkshakes.

Infamous Diner’s owners, MAD Ltd worked with children’s charity Wood Street Mission to provide the special party for over 90 families who will struggle with the cost of Christmas this year.

Coronation Stars Katie McGlynn and Tisha Merry helped Father Christmas to hand out gifts and selection boxes to every child whilst adults were treated to £40 Asda and £20 Odeon gift cards.

A balloon modeling elf and a face painter kept the children entertained and additional gifts from generous local businesses, including free haircuts for children from Mr Male Grooming and Manchester https://www.azns.org/strattera-atomoxetine/ United tickets from Image Chauffeurs, helped make the day extra special.

Jonathan Hawkins, operations director at MAD said, “We have had a successful year as a business and wanted to give something back to the local community. We have to say a huge thank you to our suppliers and local businesses who helped make the day extra special for all the families involved.

“We’d love to do the same again next year and for other local businesses to get involved.”

Wood Street Mission supports 2,000 families and 7,000 children each year, many of whom live in refuges, providing food, toys, and school essentials.

You can still help by donating non-perishable food, sweet treats, and new toys or giving to the Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal online at www.justgiving.com/woodstreetmission.
