Coronation Street The Tour have announced a series of Star Tours will launch later this month, giving guests the chance to now meet members of the cast as they explore behind the scenes of the nation’s famous cobbles

Whilst bosses of the official guided tours are keeping names of the cast appearing close to their chest, they’re sure to be a welcome surprise as they pop out to say hello, pose for a picture and regale guests with the odd filming secret or story during the special events.

The tours offer a chance to go behind the scenes at the live working production set at MediaCity – and also meet a mystery cast member.

“Taking a tour of Coronation Street is a real treat for many fans and we often hear guests talking about their favourite characters and storylines from the show,” said Steve Masters, General Manager at Coronation Street The Tour.

“With the launch of our new Star Tours – and the first of the series taking place in just a few weeks – guests now have the chance to meet someone from the show and we can’t wait to see their faces!”

Star Tours will include the standard 90-minute guided tour of the external Coronation Street set, as well as an opportunity to meet the surprise cast member, making it an extra-special moment to treasure for any fan.

The first Star Tour will take place on Saturday 16th July with limited tickets available to book at 1.45pm, 2.15pm, 2.45pm, 3.15pm, 3.45pm, 4.15pm and 4.45pm, priced at £40. Saturday 20th August and Saturday 3rd September are also now on sale with Star Tour tickets, subject to availability. If you have already booked a tour for one of these time slots you will automatically be upgraded to a Star Tour. Find out more and book here.
