Manchester music legend, DJ and radio presenter Clint Boon is set to host a new monthly live music event, launching this weekend.
Boon Army Live at Lions Den Manchester will provide an exciting new platform for local, upcoming bands selected by Clint himself and District Records, as well as promising a night of indie bangers from one of the city’s favourite DJs.
Located on Deansgate Mews, Lions Den, is split over two floors and offers a lively events and entertainment space with everything from DJs and acoustic sets, to comedy nights and darts.
This month, Lions Den at the Great Northern Warehouse installed the venue’s largest ever stage, increasing the capacity for guests and creating more space to host bigger bands – perfect for large groups of friends or colleagues.
Whilst enjoying live music sets, guests at the venue can also enjoy a selection of real ale, craft beers or cider as they sing-along or laugh with their favourite entertainers.
Following the launch on on Saturday 29th January, the monthly event will take place on the last Friday of each month from 7pm.
“Music lovers rejoice,” said Clint about the new event.
“Boon Army Live at Lions Den will be a celebration of all Manchester music, as we appreciate some of the city’s original and best up and coming talent.”
Mark Schofield, centre director at Great Northern Warehouse, said: “We are delighted to introduce the first Boon Army Live event at Lions Den and encourage music fans to pick up their tickets fast.
“Here at the Great Northern Warehouse, we are passionate about celebrating Mancunian brilliance, so we’re extremely pleased to host Clint Boon, who is Manchester born and bred for a series of great music nights throughout the year.”
Boon Army Live will launch on Saturday 29th January from 7pm at Lions Den Manchester, Deansgate Mews. Future events will be held on the last Friday of every month from 7pm until 2am. To secure a place, free tickets can be booked at Fatsoma.
