Since opening in early 2018, Cibo has made quite the impression on Manchester’s Italian food scene.
It’s an effortlessly classy restaurant – laid back but with a firm commitment to serving the finest Neapolitan cuisine this side of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
And this September, there’s an even better reason to make a visit, as Cibo is continuing the post-lockdown Eat Out to Help Out initiative throughout the entire month.
This means 50% off the price of all food from the a la carte menu, providing you book in advance using their online reservation system. There’s a maximum of six people per booking, in line with government guidance, and there may be a small supplement on some of the high-end dishes, such as lobster.
You can expect a range of wonderful Naples-inspired dishes, cooked according to authentic Italian techniques with the freshest ingredients available.
Pasta plays a major part on the menu, naturally, including acclaimed courses such as the classic lasagne, cannelloni packed with hearty ricotta cheese and grilled Mediterranean vegetables, or the mouthwatering gnocchi con nduja, which combines those delightful little dumplings with unforgettable spicy pork, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil.
You’ll also find a whole range of unique risottos, pizzas and a number of carefully-crafted vegan starters, mains and desserts. And if you want gluten-free pasta you only need to ask.
Plus there’s a fantastic ‘fresh fish of the day’ menu, featuring everything from seared king scallops covered with grated pecorino cheese, to pan-fried Anglesey sea bass.
Meat-lovers will be impressed by the grill menu’s selection of locally-sourced, 28 day aged sirloin, fillet and ribeye steaks.
There’s also a wide-ranging drinks menu, taking in all kinds of Italian wines, plus plenty of dazzling, well-made cocktails and mocktails, and whatever high-quality spirits or beers you can think of.
But it’s not just the exceptional food and drink that makes Cibo one of Manchester’s must-try restaurants. The venue is stylish and welcoming – particularly following the extensive makeover that took place over the summer months.
It has a European feel, with crisp tablecloths, mahogany panelling and huge windows that cast natural light throughout the whole space.
A wealth of safety measures are in place to ensure the venue is completely COVID-safe for both you and all staff members. There’s no need to worry about taking risks when you eat at Cibo – keeping their customers safe is a top priority.
You’ll find it in the very heart of the city on Liverpool Road, just off Deansgate. It’s the kind of place that works for all occasions: you can pop in for a quick daytime coffee, a bite to eat for lunch or a full three-course evening meal.
If you’re excited by the thought of an authentic Neapolitan experience in the centre of Manchester, look no further. And the extension of the Eat Out to Help Out offer means you can do it over and over again throughout September without breaking the bank.
