Chadders’ cheese! Hilton Manchester Deansgate now offers you Manchester foodies the chance to enjoy a delicious cheese board served from 4.30 – 8pm every evening in its Podium restaurant.
The cheese and wine is served as a platter of seven chef selected local, regional and continental artisan cheeses, with a selection of anti pasti garnish, water biscuits, grapes, home made chutney, roasted tomatoes and olives all for just £15 per couple.
There will also be a short list of suggested wines (sold by the glass or bottle) to complement the cheese with a recommendation of which wine to choose to complement your cheese.
We sampled an array of cheese & wine until our hearts were content in the Podium restaurant last week. Cheeses such as; Yorkshire Blue, Black Sticks Blue, Appleby’s Cheshire, Cornish Yarg, Brie de Maux, Swalesdale, Queso Azul de La Mancha, Kirkham’s tasty Lancashire , Cheshire Cheese Co Cheshire with garlic and herbs and Bear’s Walk Northumberland Gouda style. Our absolute ‘fav’ was the Beer Mustard Rarebit, accompanied and complimented by some fine fines such as a Shiraz Malbec and a Rioja.
For us, it’s the finest combination of indulgence and indeed the best way to unwind after work. We LOVE cheese & wine and the Podium restaurant certainly know how to oblige us. We did suggest to add crusty bread to the platter too, which we’re sure they’ll oblige also.
