New Year’s Eve will be very different for many of us this year.

But just because we’ll be at home, spending the night alone or with just our household members, doesn’t mean we can’t see in 2021 in style.

From pizza parties for two and virtual wine tasting to live streamed concerts and interactive online celebrations, here are some suggestions of how to spend the night – without needing to leave your house.

Huge hot pizzas and cold cocktails

Nell’s Pizza, currently residing at The Beagle, Chorlton and Common on Edge Street in the NQ, can help you start the night with a feast of food and drink.

You can go for various packages, including an early tea of a whopping 22-inch pizza, garlic bread, a bottle of fizz, two beers and two canned cocktails delivered for £70, or choose your own carb and booze combo.

There are limited slots available; first orders from Common are 1pm, from The Beagle 4pm, and both kitchens will keep going until 9pm.

A virtual celebration from around the world

See in 2021 with a non-stop 26-hour New Year’s Eve interactive celebration by Rain Dance Colour Festival, featuring artists from across the world – including 808 State DJs.

The live entertainment features a star line-up of artists from all over the world, beginning with Samoa / Fiji Islands and finishing off with US Outlying Islands, which you can watch from the comfort of your own home.

An array of music genres will include R&B, Techno, House, Bollywood, Bhangra, Dance and Afro Beat.

And you won’t be alone, as you can interact with audiences, share your location, images, and connect with family and friends around the globe. Sign up here.

Live wine tasting and New Year countdown

Live from Prestwich, the Grape to Grain gang will be hosting a luxury live virtual tasting complete with New Year countdown.

Four ‘best of the year’ wines will be delivered to your door, plus the option to add on some fizz too, if you like, before the online tasting session.

You can choose how much of each wine you fancy, from a small taster to a full bottle, and then join the fun from 10pm. Sign up here.

Party at the Virtual Hacienda

As part of FAC 51 The Haçienda 24 Hour House Party NYE, a special tribute to the legendary ‘Godfather Of House’ Frankie Knuckles in collaboration with The Frankie Knuckles Foundation, will be broadcast at United We Stream GM.

The gig sees Frankie play his Hacienda New Year’s Eve 2013/2014 set from within the newly recreated Virtual Haçienda, a faithfully and painstakingly accurate digital version of the original Whitworth Street West FAC51.

You can join the  Haçienda House Party for 24 hours straight as it chases New Year’s Eve around the world. Beginning on the Pacific Date Line in Fiji at 10am GMT, the event carries on throughout with live guests and DJs to see in 2021 in style.

Superb steaks and classy cocktails

We’ve loved trying their meal kits while the restaurant has been closed. And now, you can get your favourite Hawksmoor dishes delivered to your door, if you live within six miles – or you can collect your order from the restaurant.

The chefs will do all the hard work ready for you to finish off at home, with dishes including old spot belly ribs, Brixham scallops, macaroni cheese, Sunday roasts and salted caramel rolos alongside superb steaks and dripping oven chips.

Push the boat out with some bottled and canned cocktails, along with some of your favourite wines and beers.

And you can, of course, order as much or as little as you like, depending on whether you’re feeding an entire household or indulging alone. Order here.
