This all-day outdoor concert promises to be a spectacular follow-up to the successful debut event headlined by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, held at the park earlier this year.

The exciting announcement comes hot on the heels of the highly acclaimed release of Blossoms’ latest single, ‘To Do List (After The Breakup)’, which takes inspiration from the viral poetry book ‘Milk And Honey’ by Rupi Kaur.

The single is currently making waves with widespread national radio support, including Radio 1’s Future Sounds, and earning a spot on key networks’ A Lists, such as Radio X’s Record Of The Week.

A Blossoms Journey

Formed in Stockport by school friends Tom Ogden, Joe Donovan, Charlie Salt, Joshua Dewhurst, and Myles Kellock, Blossoms have achieved widespread success and acclaim throughout their careers.

Their debut album ‘Blossoms’ in 2016 topped the charts for two consecutive weeks and earned them BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations.

Their second album ‘Cool Like You’ in 2018 charted at Number 4 in the UK album chart, featuring anthemic hits like ‘I Can’t Stand It’ and ‘There’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls)’.

Their third studio album, ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ in 2020, was another UK Number 1 album.

This was followed by their fourth studio LP, ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’, which also clinched the Number 1 spot in the UK.

In the summer of 2023, Blossoms delighted audiences across the country with their performances, including a headline slot at Kendal Calling, their own headline outdoor shows at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester, Millennium Square in Leeds, and a surprise set at Glastonbury, where they were joined by the legendary Rick Astley to perform a set full of their favourite Smiths songs.

Blossoms has consistently delivered world-class performances at prestigious outdoor venues, and their upcoming concert at Wythenshawe Park promises to be yet another highlight in their remarkable journey.

Tom Ogden’s Perspective

Tom Ogden, the lead vocalist of Blossoms, shared his excitement about the upcoming show, saying: “Headlining our biggest show yet at Wythenshawe Park is going to be THE moment of our career so far for us.

“It makes me think of me and Joe going to watch Oasis and The Stone Roses at Heaton Park back when we were teenagers, and how important these big summer Manchester shows are to people.

“It made us want to be in a band, affected what we wore, and changed our lives forever.

To misquote Dorothy, ‘Lads, I’ve a feeling we’re not on Oldham Street any more!'”
