Ahead of Valentine’s Day, McVitie’s are serving up a treat for snack lovers by launching a Biscuit Butler service on Uber Eats to turn home movie night into a VIP experience.
Perfect for sharing with friends and family, those who book the Biscuit Butler will receive delivery of a platter of McVitie’s Blissfuls, paired with a luxurious hot chocolate accompanied with a beautiful mug.
The delivery will also include an atmospheric scented candle – the perfect ingredients for a cosy night in, say McVitie’s.
The free service is available in Manchester for one day only, on 11th February, in partnership with Uber Eats.
Inspiring the butler roll-out, a survey of 2,000 Brits revealed that 50% would love to get their favourite movie snacks delivered direct to their sofa.
For many, that’s a luxurious biscuit; more than half (51%) of Brits voted the best treat for a movie night in as ‘something chocolatey’.
The average Brit was found to watch five movies per week at home, with 78% preferring to watch the latest blockbuster in the comfort of their own home.
The research also reveals the most joyful films of the last 25 years to watch at home, with Mamma Mia! (2008) coming top, voted for by 39%.
The rest of the top 10 included Love Actually (2003) – 38%; The Greatest Showman (2017) – 32%; Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) – 29%; Billy Elliot (2000) – 28%; Paddington 2 (2017) – 28%; Shrek (2001) – 26%; Up! (2009) – 23%; School of Rock (2003) – 23%; and Elf (2003) – 22%.
“We all love a night in with a good movie or binge-worthy boxset, and our favourite treats on hand,” said David Titman, marketing director for McVitie’s.
“McVitie’s Blissfuls were made with these moments in mind, as the perfect indulgent treat to elevate an evening in.
“We hope they bring a bit of bliss to all biscuit fans – we think they’re just too good not to share!”
