Whether it’s a a head-splitting hangover, a lazy duvet day, illness, or just not wanting to face the world, we’ve all had those days when the thought of having to talk to people is just too much.
But you also need an emergency bacon sandwich and the fridge is bare. What to do?
Now, there’s a solution. You can get your bacon butty or veggie bap delivered not just to your door, but through your door.
Deliveroo is revolutionising those times that the nation doesn’t want to answer the door with Royal Meal, the first ever food delivery service that fits through a letterbox. And they’re trialling it exclusively in Manchester.
Hungry customers don’t even need to be at home to receive a food delivery, or it could be the saving grace of a hangover day.
Launching on 1st July, Royal Meal will be trialled initially through Manchester restaurant and deli Katsouris, offering delicious breakfast sandwiches to those who can’t face the outside world.
“We’ll be the first restaurant in the UK to offer the Royal Meal service to Deliveroo customers, getting our food out to people when they need it most!” says Richard Katsouris from the Manchester deli.
“We’ve all had times when we don’t fancy cooking and instead order in, but this new service means you don’t even have to answer the door.”
The game-changing delivery box will feature the latest design packaging, developed to keep food secure when coming through the letterbox.
“Our new delivery option means you’re treated like royalty, getting a meal without even uttering a word,” says Joe Groves at Deliveroo.
“We recognise that some people need a duvet day and to hide in the comfort of their own home, so Royal Meal will still give people what they want – delicious food!
“Our Royal Meal service is the food delivery of the future and we are excited to add this layer to our offering.”
