For two nights only at Grenache Restaurant and The White Swan…

Two independent restaurants are about to indulge in a bit of chef-swapping for two nights of gastronomic delight & award winning cuisine.

Mike Jennings and general manager Karen Deveney of Grenache, an award-winning fine dining restaurant in Walkden, Greater Manchester, will take over the reins at The White Swan, Fence, a traditional local pub serving food, real ales & fine wines on Thursday, July 30th.

Tom Parker & FOH manager Gareth Ostick from The White Swan will take over the kitchen and front of house at Grenache for the return leg on Thursday 13^th August.

The main event on both nights will be a delightful seven course tasting menu, with a mix and match of dishes by each chef throughout the night.

A bit of chef-swapping has been on the cards for some time. Mike and Tom worked together at Northcote under prestigious chefs Lisa Allen & Nigel Haworth and have a similar sort of style – keep the food and the cooking simple and let the ingredients do the talking.

But be warned. These events are for hardcore foodies only. These two are up and coming stars of the industry – because Jay Rayner says so – and this is serious cooking, with no gimmicks, gadgets or wizardry. Both chefs work with only the best suppliers to ensure that the quality and standard of the food is top notch. The ingredients will be sourced fresh on the day of each event, and will be as seasonal as each chef can get it.

The cost on both nights is £60.00 plus an additional £40.00 for the wine flight, should this be required. Spaces are limited to 32 covers per restaurant to maintain intimacy for the events, so early booking is essential. Both events start at 7.30pm prompt.

Transport can be arranged for any regulars wanting to travel the 31 miles to each event.
