If you find grocery shopping a chore, and get frustrated with limited, expensive delivery slots when online shopping, then we’ve got some news that will be most welcome – especially in the busy run-up to Christmas.

Amazon and Morrisons have today announced that Prime members in Manchester will now be able to experience a new Click & Collect service when shopping ‘Morrisons on Amazon’.

Morrisons on Amazon has thousands of grocery products for customers to choose from – and customers will now be able to choose Click & Collect as an option when they check out and select a one-hour time slot, before heading to the Morrisons Click & Collect location at their selected store to collect their order.

The service will be available at selected Morrisons stores in Manchester, including Eccles, Reddish, Denton, Oldham, Whitefield, Swinton, Chorlton-Cum-Hardy, Cheadle Heath, Leigh, Bredbury, and Dukinfield.

The Morrisons on Amazon store provides millions of Prime members with the Morrisons products that they know and love, from everyday essentials to favourites such as Morrisons The Best range and Morrisons Market Street selection – including bread freshly baked by Morrisons’ bakers and hand finished cream cakes from its cake shops.

The range includes handmade products from Morrisons’ butchers, fishmongers and cheesemakers, and a selection of fruit and vegetables by quantity, providing even more choice.

The supermarket is British farming’s biggest supermarket customer, and all Morrisons-branded fresh meat and everything on their butchers’ counters is 100% British.

Once customers have placed their grocery order and selected their collection slot, they will receive an email confirmation and a notification in the Amazon app with a link to ‘check in’.

Customers then activate an ‘on my way’ service, enabling their location tracking to reduce their wait time once they have arrived at the store.

Once customers have arrived, they’ll park in a designated Morrisons on Amazon Click & Collect parking spot where they will either wait for a Morrisons employee to bring their order out or go inside the store to collect, depending on which option they have chosen.

Orders are hand-picked by dedicated Morrisons staff and stored safely ready for collection.

“We are committed to investing in ways for customers to get their grocery shop as conveniently as possible, and Click & Collect from Morrisons on Amazon is a great new option for customers who want to pick up their groceries quickly and easily,” says John Boumphrey, Amazon UK Country Manager.

“Starting today in Manchester, customers will be able to get their groceries in minutes without even leaving their car.”

The service is included with Prime for orders over £40 and £1.99 for orders under £40, with a minimum order value of £25. All stores will offer collection slots from 10am to 8pm Monday – Saturday as a minimum, as soon as one hour from ordering.
