Gin – it’s the thing. Once denigrated as the worst spirit to nick out of your parents’ alcohol cupboard, nowadays we can’t move for the stuff. Not that we’re complaining.

Thanks to a change in the law back in 2014, craft gins are everywhere. And there’s so much variety.

Whether you’re a fan of London dry, American wet, or something flavoured and sweet, there’s sure to be a gin out there to suit your taste.

Not sure where to find it? Well, with the biggest gin collection in town, your first port of call has to be Atlas Bar.

Their gin menu is so big and grows so fast that they host it online to save on print costs. At the last count, they had over 500 bottles.

Atlas Bar

And for World Gin Day on June 8th, they’re going all out and are hosting a huge gin festival at their Deansgate bar from 12pm to 6pm.

And considering they have the best gin connections in the city, it’s sure to be something special.

You will get an exclusive introduction to two brand new gins never seen before in Manchester.

There’ll also be stands from craft gin distillers Tarquin’s, The Green Mann Distillery, Cuckoo, Divine, Defiance, Nelsons and Barekstens, with reps on hand providing tasters and talking you through their distillation process, covering everything from botanical selections to still choice.

Oh, and Double Dutch tonic will be in attendance too with their own pop-up bar.

VIP entry is an absolute steal at just £15 considering your ticket includes two complimentary G&Ts in your very own festival gin goblet and a bespoke Atlas bag to take home.

And for wristband holders, any more G&Ts you want to purchase during the day will be a mere £4. And that includes super premium bottles.

See you at the bar.
