A flurry of frozen fun has returned to Cathedral Gardens this winter with the arrival of Skate Manchester. New this year, exclusive discounts for key workers and students have also been introduced.

Between today 1 November 2021 and 3 January 2022, Skate Manchester, located at Cathedral Gardens, offers an enchanting atmosphere for couples, families and groups looking for festive fun whilst protecting visitors from all the elements with a spectacular covered ice-rink.

Between 1 November – 3 December, Monday – Thursday, all key workers, including NHS, Emergency Services and Education employees, will access a unique code offering a 30% discount on tickets.

Are you looking for a fun activity in between lectures? The rink will also offer 20% discount for all students.

Skate Manchester marks the second round of celebrations at Cathedral Gardens after hosting Scare Skate from 22 October to 31 October, which saw ghosts and ghoul’s takeover the Spooktacular rink celebrating Halloween.

Rob Derry, Managing Director of Events & Event Hire at Arena, which produces the event, says“We’ve gone all out to ensure Skate Manchester is the celebration of winter 2021. After last year’s postponed Christmas period and off the back of the massive success of Scare Skate 2021, we’re excited to be bringing in Christmas 2021 in a true family festive spirit.

“We are also delighted to be able to give key workers the recognition they deserve, and discounted tickets are a small way for us to say thank you.”
