To assist those who’ve had to put house-viewings on hold, Urban Splash has made home-from-home viewings a reality.

The award-winning property developers are rolling out virtual desktop videos and a 360-degree CGI experience of the architect-designed homes under its House by Urban Splash brand, on their home tablet or mobile phone.

The virtual reality tour offered by House by Urban Splash was highly immersive, the most engaging aspect was being able to look around the room as if you were present…

Virtual viewings have been used by House for more than a year, successfully helping customers to purchase its innovative range of modern homes off-plan. In this time it has harnessed the latest technology to evolve an immersive virtual viewing experience, placing the developer at the vanguard of what virtual reality can bring to the buyer experience.

The 360-degree CGI experience is available for Mansion House, the modern apartment from House, meaning for the first time, buyers can take the fully immersive house tour from the comfort of their own home.

Over the coming weeks, the 360-degree CGI technology is also being rolled out for Town House, its configurable family home, and going forward House plans to make this home virtual viewing option standard across all new House by Urban Splash homes.

As from this week, potential buyers will also have access to a virtual desktop video of the Town House show home where they will be talked through the virtual tour by sales consultants over Skype or Zoom and given the chance to ask any questions as they move through the house, making the experience as live and interactive as possible.

The virtual tour which takes people through each home, room-by-room, and floor-by-floor offers a sense of material quality, daylight quality, space flow, ceiling height, and takes in views from windows and balconies. The virtual desktop video forms part of a comprehensive interactive desktop experience, which also includes renders, floor plans, configuration options, and availability.

House works in close collaboration with architectural visualisation studio Uniform on the creation of its virtual tours, which leverage the latest in gaming and cloud computing technologies, alongside traditional CGI and film, to create a next-level immersive viewing experience. Committed to their role as pioneers in virtual viewings, the immersive experience on offer is under constant and ongoing innovation and development.

First time buyers, Ryan Lockie and his partner Rachael Clough, both aged 27, who recently purchased a two bedroom Mansion House apartment at New Islington, Manchester commented: “The virtual reality tour offered by House by Urban Splash was highly immersive, the most engaging aspect was being able to look around the room as if you were present. Being able to move between the rooms provided an improved application of the natural lighting of the property. The virtual viewing also offered a much better sense of scale to the plans and architectural drawings. It’s often difficult to really visualise the space and layout of the property with 2D renders.”
